Dear CFA Members:

The 2022 Fall General Meeting and Annual Executive Member Meeting concluded successfully with many interactive discussions with in-person and remote attendees. I’d like to extend special thanks to the Board of Directors and Workgroup chairpersons for their contribution.

Two topics that require your immediate attention:

CFA has done a reorganization to 1) simplify and streamline the decision-making process, and 2) create workgroups that require special attention and resources that the organization previously lacked. You can find the new organization and the chairpersons in the presentation stack.

Along with this reorganization, we launched a new communication platform called Basecamp which will be used for communicating intra-workgroup activities. All existing workgroup portals on the CFA website have been archived. I will post a separate message regarding the changes.

2023 COMPACTFLASH ASSOCIATION DIRECTOR ELECTION PROCEDURE

The election for the Directors of CompactFlash Association for the Year 2023 will be conducted during the Annual Executive Member Meeting.

The 2022 Board of Directors has decided to have an open voting process for the 2023 Director election.  Accordingly, each Executive-Member representative will be given a voting paddle with their company name and representative name for use during voting.  The vote count will be recorded in the meeting minutes.

There are 10 seats of which 9 will be filled with the voting process.  One seat is reserved for the President of CFA as Director ex officio. You can find the candidates here.

We are now ready to invite attendees for the CFA 2022 Fall General Meeting and Annual Executive Member Meeting. Please refer to my earlier message dated July 15 below. The Board of Directors have decided to have Webex online sessions so members can join remotely. Please follow the instructions below and respond by Friday, August 19.

  1. Send an email to [email protected] with the title Attending CFA 2022 Fall General Meeting and Annual Executive Meeting if you wish to attend the sessions. Remote attendees will also need to sign-up to get Webex access information.

Dear CFA Members:

This is Hiro Ino, President of CompactFlash Association.  I hope this message reaches you in good spirits.

The CFA 2022 Fall General Meeting (which coincides with the Annual Executive Member Meeting) is coming up.  We are planning on having an in-person meeting.  This is an early notification of the venue so you can decide on attendance and plan accordingly. I personally look forward to meeting as many members as possible during the meeting.  

Detailed agenda will be determined at a later time.  The annual election of the CFA Board of Directors for 2023 and any additional business that require voting shall be conducted by the Executive Members.

In order to secure the Group Room Rates and Meeting Room, I will be asking the attendees to fill out a form at a later time. Stay tuned for a follow-up message coming your way.
